At Radius Specialty Hospitals, we know that it can be difficult to adjust to a new medical setting, so we are committed to creating the most supportive environment possible for our patients and their families.
We take a “whole hospital” approach, which means that every staff member you interact with – nurse, doctor, social worker, or others – has been trained to understand and address the full range of your needs, or to connect you with the person who can help.
Our Director of Patient Relations is a visible presence, touching base with as many patients and families as she can on a daily basis. It is important to her to know who might need a visitor or a mood lift, or who has concerns that could interfere with the healing process. She is a valuable link to the social services department within the hospitals, where assistance is available with case management, financial concerns and discharge planning.
In a long-term care setting, the family is an important source of support and encouragement and we strive to stay in close touch in order to build relationships and foster your continued involvement.
